The Binduri District Assembly has commissioned an ultra-modern six-seater toilet for the Bazua community. This initiative came as a response to the need to end open defecation and promote personal hygiene in the district. Bazua, which is the largest market in the Binduri District, faces a serious challenge regarding toilet facilities.
The youth, women, and even the elderly could not hide their joy as they came out in large numbers to witness the commissioning. During the commissioning of the project, the chief of Bazua, Naaba Asuguru, thanked the assembly for their wonderful initiative in bringing such a significant project to the area to alleviate their challenges.
The toilet will serve at least 400 people in the area. Handing over the project to the community, Binduri District Deputy Coordinating Director Mr. Kipo Alhassan called on the community to use the facility with care. According to him, the assembly is grateful for the former MP’s support during his tenure. He expects them to support the government’s policies to improve sanitation in the country.
The project was funded by the former Member of Parliament for Binduri, Hon. Alhaji Abdullai Abanga, from his common fund.
