Jean Mensa and Team Not Fit to Lead Electoral Commission Again
We, the undersigned citizens of Ghana, hereby express our utmost disappointment and loss of confidence in the leadership of the Electoral Commission (EC), particularly Chairperson Jean Mensa and her team.
Their tenure has been marred by abuse of office, refusal to inform the public about missing BVD machines, poor arithmetic, procurement breaches, omission of people’s names from the register, illegal voter transfers, lack of transparency, criminally denying the people of SALL representation, bias, causing fear and panic, incompetence just to mention but few.
These ugly actions have undermined the integrity of Ghana’s electoral process and shaken the trust of the citizenry.
In light of these ugly developments, we strongly believe that Jean Mensa and her team are not fit to lead the Electoral Commission again.
We demand their immediate resignation and call for a thorough overhaul of the EC to restore its credibility and independence.
We urge all stakeholders, including civil society organizations, political parties, and the international community, to join us in advocating for free, fair, and transparent elections in Ghana till thy kingdom come.
