Ghana Immigration Service Strengthens Ties with Ghana Free Zones Authority.

The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Samuel Amadu Basintale, has welcomed the CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, and her Deputy, Mr. Mussa Hamidu, at the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) Headquarters. The visit aimed to enhance collaboration between the two institutions to better serve investors and support Ghana’s industrialization agenda.

The GFZA plays a crucial role in promoting economic development by providing a range of services and incentives to businesses operating within designated free zones. These services include facilitating investment, streamlining regulatory processes, and offering tax incentives to attract both local and foreign investment. By working together with the GIS, the GFZA aims to create a more favorable business environment and support Ghana’s economic growth.

During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to improve efficiency and investor relations. Dr. Awusi was accompanied by key staff from the Authority, and the discussions underscored a shared commitment to fostering a conducive business environment in Ghana.

This development is expected to streamline processes and create a more favorable climate for investors, ultimately contributing to Ghana’s economic growth and development.
