His full statement below

It is worth noting that textbook provisions to schools are a crucial aspect of education, particularly in developing countries of which our nation is no exception.

Against this background, it is worth celebrating government’s allocation of GH¢564.6 million for the comprehensive provision of free curricula-based textbooks.

This announcement to us as Literacy Ambassadors, is a significant step towards promoting education and literacy in Ghana.

This allocation will have a positive impact on education outcomes, especially for disadvantaged students who may not have access to educational resources and due to economic challenges their parents or guardians cannot afford.

HE John Dramani Mahama’s government’s commitment to education is also reflected in its overall budget allocation for the education sector.

This budget statement emphasizes the importance of education in driving economic growth and development and we are sincerely grateful to the president for keeping to his campaign promises.

Every child deserves to read and hence the need for reading and educational materials to be made available to all learners irrespective of the social status.

By addressing these challenges and implementing effective strategies, we can work towards ensuring that all learners have access to the educational resources they need to succeed.
