National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Hon. Isaac Adongo, has launched a scathing rebuttal against the Minority caucus in Parliament for labeling President John Dramani Mahama as “Terminator One.”
The Minority’s denunciation stems from President Mahama’s mass dismissals of individuals employed by the Akufo-Addo administration, which they claim has left many Ghanaians jobless.
Adongo vehemently countered this narrative, rebranding President Mahama as a “ruthless terminator of recklessness.”
He posited that the President’s actions were necessitated by the need to rectify the egregious excesses and malfeasance perpetrated by the previous administration. “The true state of the nation is not about lying; it is about data,” Adongo emphasized. ” H.E, President John Mahama, is a ruthless terminator who has terminated ghost workers at the National Service, scrapped the National Cathedral project, and discontinued the practice of renting private jets.”
Adongo further elucidated that President Mahama’s terminations were not aimed at rendering Ghanaians jobless, but rather at addressing the structural flaws and fiscal irresponsibility bequeathed by the previous government.
He illustrated this point by highlighting the absurdity of exhausting an annual budget within three weeks, underscoring the need for prudent financial management.
Adongo reaffirmed the Mahama administration’s commitment to rectifying the economic mismanagement of the past, ensuring that Ghana’s resources are utilized judiciously, and promoting transparency and accountability in governance.
